Last summer, Kate made a beautiful sweater for Sera. The only problem was Sera would never let me put it on her, so I could take a picture. Now that it is cold outside, she has deigned to wear a sweater. She is one stubborn girl. Once she had it on, she loved it. Her favorite part are all the buttons.
We had some modeling issues though. She has learned to say cheese when she sees a camera.
The problem is the word cheese produces this stilted clenched mouth smile.

(P.S. Just wait till she reaches the stage of trying to look serious for photos... I'm not sure if 8 is the age for all kids, but suddenly Emily wants to look, I don't know, artistic or something. We have a deal: I'll take one "serious" photo for every big smile she gives me.)
