Sera has been having a very artsy weekend. She spent several hours yesterday watercoloring. This morning, she pulled out her paper and watercolors to do some more. After a few pictures, she decided she wanted to make a dress. She taped together one piece of her paper into a long tube, told me it was going to be for Virginia (her cousin) and got to work. I saw her pulling lots of different things from the craft bag. She cut out about 6 or 7 hearts from construction paper and then I got caught up reading and wasn't really paying attention. She worked hard on her dress for quite some time. After Jim had come upstairs, Sera lifted her finished dress and showed it to us. The tube had become the skirt, the heart a bodice, and she'd made straps. She'd also decorated it, front and back, with her sticky foam pieces and stickers. I have to admit, I'm impressed.
