Overheard at the Grocery Checkout

Sera (twirling in her new dress while holding her purchase of a tube of mini M&Ms):  Like my new dress?

Hearing-impaired Geriatric Gentleman (bagging our groceries): You want a sack?

Sera: No, thank you. I don't want a snack.

Sera: Mommy, why he ask me I want a snack? I got M&Ms.

Me (observing and holding in laughter)

Jim (paying for groceries and oblivious to this conversation)
